I've spent over 14 years using current and emerging technology to help companies solve their problems. The rule I work by: The Technology Should Respect Time and Money.
I led technology integration and large capital projects for Fortune 500 companies, running a technology portfolio of over $55M a year and delivering more than $150M across my tenure. I have also served as COO for 2 startups and led go-to-market, pricing, and business development for 2 more, from foundation through first-wave hiring.
That rule decides how I work. We do not spend money to spend it. We look at the real options, weigh what each one costs against what it actually does, and choose on that. I negotiate with vendors on my clients' behalf.
