Every engagement is short, has a defined deliverable, and is priced before it starts

AI Readiness

These engagements are grounded in my experience evaluating technology products for Fortune 500 companies for over 14 years. AI adoption is no different than any other tool in your toolkit. If you don't use it, then it is useless. I work with my clients to create an AI Readiness plan that will be used long after I am gone.

The Briefing
A 90-minute session. I analyze your workflow and tech stack beforehand, then demonstrate live where AI fails on your own document types and what rules your team needs. For law firms, it satisfies California's technology MCLE requirement.
The Workshop
A half day for up to 25 staff, working hands-on with AI on their own materials. Your team leaves with a starter usage policy.
The Reality Check
Two to three weeks. I stress-test your top workflows against frontier models and measure the fabrication rates on your own documents, audit where staff already use AI unsanctioned, map policy gaps against NIST AI RMF, and deliver a 90-day roadmap.
Vendor Verification
Before you sign a contract for an AI product, I test it on your data and document what it can and cannot do.

Core Philosophy

The Technology Should Respect Time and Money

When the training is cumbersome or the tool is bigger than the problem, staff quietly stop using it, and the subscription keeps billing anyway. I'm here to get you the right tool for the job.

Business & Startup Advisory

38% of failed startups cited running out of cash as a cause of death, the most-cited reason in CB Insights' post-mortem analysis. Many of the rest hired too much too quickly or never put the right operating structure in place. I use my experience helping small businesses and startups avoid the common pitfalls when growing.

Formation
Entity structure, cap tables, and founder agreements. I have set these up for my own ventures and for other founders.
Growth Planning
When to hire, when to contract, and which system to build next. The plan gets sized to the team and the cash you actually have.
Go-to-Market Planning
Positioning, pricing, channels, and a sales motion sized to the team you actually have. I run this work for early-stage companies today.
Operating Structure
Process, vendors, insurance, and compliance. I built these systems as a COO and as a director of operations, including for businesses serving major motion picture studios.
Technology Evaluation
A review of your back-office stack: what you are spending, where it goes, and what each tool actually does for you. I negotiate with vendors on your behalf for better terms.

The same discipline, applied to people

Build the right foundational practices so you hire the right people at the right time. Clean up your data room, and develop first-pass founder agreements and cap tables, before you spend a fortune on legal and accounting services.
